This is a decent pair of bluetooth headphones. I had no problem connecting these headphones to my iphone 5s or my iPad and connection time took less then a minute. The headphones are foldable and with the push of a button, the earphones are retracted back into the holder. The controls for volume, next/previous track and the answer call button are all located on the the neck device. I had no problem making or receiving calls with these and operating my music was easy. The only downside I had with these is the type of earbud it has. I have a hard time finding earphones like these that I like. It did come with different earbud sizes, but I to me is sounded like everything I heard was in a tunnel. Another thing was there is no way to tell the battery power percentage. It does come with the USB charging cable and charging time is not to bad, What I did like about these were they are foldable, so when I am not using them, I can fold them up and store them in my purse and not have to worry about them getting hung on on anything. They are light weight, so when wearing them, they are not causing any issues with my neck. Overall they are a decent set of foldable, wireless, Bluetooth headphones. "A" Is for the Alchemist (Winnie and Winslow Adventure) By James Larson #AISFORTHEALCHEMIST

After reading this, I am not to sure how many 9-12 year olds will take to this book. 

The book features Winnie who is working on a robot for the STEM fair. Her plan is for a robot with artificial intelligence to be able to sing anything. 

There is also her brother Winslow who plays football. He is said to be a fast runner but is put on the second string team. When one of the other players on the starting team is hurt, this causes Winslow to be the staring for the first team.

In the book, Winnie's robot is stolen by a mad scientist and some pigeons, Winnie and Winslow, along with the family cat and stray dog, embark on an adventure to get it back.

The book has an interesting story idea, but the author tends to get a little busy with the story telling. An example would be how you are reading about Winnie working on calculations for her robot and in the next breath she is chasing tapping noises in the wall. There is rats with green lantern rings, a metal hawk who is the mad scientist side kick, mystery heroes and as stated before, robot stealing pigeons. I feel the author tends to get away from the story at times, creating a mess and at times confusion. Granted at the end some of this madness comes together, but there was still some parts of the story left hanging.

Shopkins Who's The Shopper and Who's The Trolley Topper Card Games with Tin

I got this Shopkins set for my daughter who LOVES Shopkins.
The lunch box has Shopkins characters on the front that are raised/textured. The lunch box reminds me of the old lunch boxes we used to get as kids with the latch lid.
Inside the lunch box is two card games, Who's the shopper and Who's the trolley topper card.  We have not tried to play the card games the way they are intended. My daughter likes to look at the cards and use them to her own content. The nice thing is that when she is done with the cards, she just puts them in the lunch box. Plus she can carry her Shopkins figures in it as well. This is a neat gift idea for those who have kids or know someone with kids that love Shopkins.

This dual car charger from spigen has been a godsend in our house. My kids bring their tablets with when we travel and there is always fighting over who gets to use the USB car charger. With this device, problem solved. They can both charge their tablets at the same time. 

The charger fit perfectly into the lighter outlets in my car. I love that when it is plugged in, it does not stick way out like other chargers I have do. Once the device is plugged in and it has power to it, the charger will light up with a blue light. The charger does have 2 slots for regular USB cords. The device does get a little warm when in use (not so hot that you cannot touch it), but I had that same problem with other devices. It does say that it has a built-in charging circuitry protector.

Tens Unit Handheld Electronic Pulse Massager #Tensunit

I have never tried a tens unit before, so I was real curious on how this thing works.
The box contains instructions, 4 pads with connection cords, batteries and the hand held controller. The unit can be used on two different people at once, or you can use all 4 pads on yourself.
The unit has 6 auto programs for waist, shoulder, joint, hand-leg and sole. It had 3 massage modes (knead, tap or massage). There is also speed control buttons and the on/off switch works as an intensity controller. The device is designed to shut off after 15 minutes of use.
The instruction guides has pictures to show the different placement areas that can be treated. It does warn you to not use it on your head or heart area. It also instructs you to apply to clean, dry skin.
Ok, so hooking up the pads to the controller was simple enough as plug and connect. Since I have never used a tens unit, and not sure what to expect, I decided to try it on the soles of my feet. I turned the device on, started with intensity level one, selected the sole button and hit the speed button once or twice. Did not feel anything. Turned the intensity up to 4, increased speed, did not feel anything. It then dawned on me to hit the sole button again (not sure if the area button needs to be hit again after adjusting settings). Yeah! Felt it that time. Let me just say, it felt like an electrical shock, but without the zap feeling if you know what I mean. As soon as I felt the pulse, or whatever you want to call it, I said some choice words and took the dang thing off!! Now I know people with muscle problems may enjoy what this thing does, but not this kid. I would say if you have used one of these in the past and enjoy it, I recommend it. If you are new to using one of these, go slow. For the price of this unit, I would say you will get your money's worth. Mpow Seashell Bluetooth 4.1 Running Sports Headphones with Microphone

I like to listen to music when I am at the gym, but hate that the headphones I use have to be plugged into my phone. I was excited to get these headphones and try them out. I have never tried Bluetooth headphones before these.
I recieved the Mpow seashell headphones in the green color that is in the picture. The headphone were packaged in a box with a magnetic lid. The headphones are laid on cut out insert that is covered in a felt type material.
The headphones included three different ear piece sizes with stabilizers and instructions. It also comes with a USB cord for charging.
I paired the headphones with my iPhone 5s and iPad Air 2 following the instructions. The pairing took a few seconds and that was it. The headphone verbalize when the pairing is a success. There is a volume control switch on the cord that also works to answer and make phone calls.
The headphones fit comfortably in my ears and I did not have to constantly rearrange them, nor did they slip or fall out. The music and sound quality is perfect. My next question was how well I would be able to hear phone conversations and how clear I sounded to the person on the other end. Crystal clear calls. The person who I was talking to on the phone said that I actually sounded clear talking thought the headphones then on my regular phone.
The only con to these headphones is that there is not indication of the charge level.
I would not have any problem recommending these headphones, especially those that are athletic and enjoy listening to music without being tethered by a cord.

Waterproof iPhone 6 6s case

I was looking for a good phone case to protect it from dropping, especially in water since we like to use electronics near water. The case did require some assembly. The case is held together by screws. To me this just seems like added protection if I were to drop it. I don't have to worry about the case separating if dropped. The screen protector does not case any interference with using the touch screen. Past phone cases I have had that claimed they were waterproof, I had problems with people being able to hear me when talking. The case says it can withstand water depths of up to 32 feet. Midori Spring Ceremonial (GOLD) Matcha Green Tea #midorispring

To be honest, the only tea I have tried is Lipton sweet tea. I was willing to try this product out to see what it tasted like. I have heard the many benefits of drinking green tea and thought if I liked it I would start to drink it.
The tea comes in a tin can that you have to peel the lid off; kind of the the lid on cat food to give you an idea. When I opened it, there was a pleasent sent that came from the tea in the can. The tea inside is a fine, pretty green colored powder. In fact it looks just like the picture above. The can had instructions on how to prepare the tea, and that is exactly how I prepared it. The can also has a website that you can do to to get different ideas on how to prepare the tea. There are some reciepes on there that show how to use it to bake with it.
After preparing the tea, the smell was no longer pleasent. The smell reminded me of baby food peas. The color was also dark green. At this point, I was hoping it would taste better then it smelled. Nope. It tasted like baby food peas to me and it left a bitter after taste. Maybe if you added something to sweeten it up, it may taste better. i did not have any honey in my home to see if it would help the taste. So my conculison in all of this is that this tea is not going to be for me. Now if you are a big tea drinker and you love green tea, this may be the product for you. I'm thinking that maybe this maybe a better product for me to use in baking, and will try it in the future to see.

The Best iPhone iPad Charging CORD #ReachCablesIphoneCORD

 
I am loving this IPhone/IPad cord!! I was sick of being stuck with the short cords that come with these devices. With this cord, I have the freedom to move and not be stuck right near an outlet.
I love the cord is a braided material. It seems way more durable then the cords you get with the phone/tablet. I am hoping that because it is braided that it won't start to shred/fray or fall apart near the plug end like my other cords do.
I have not had one problem with this cord fitting into my devices. It also fits iPhone 5,5c,6,6 plus, iPad mini, retina, iPad 4 and iPad Air, iPod 7.

2016 NCLEX Medications for Nurses & Practice Questions: Nursing Drug Handbook 2016 Nursing Guide Kindle Edition #NursingResource

As a nurse, I was interested in taking a look at the eBook edition of this.  It is always good to go back and refresh yourself on medications. Plus I wanted to see how it compares to the books I used when I was studying for the NCLEX.
I have to say, this book is pretty good!! In each chapter, the author explains why the medication in used and is able to explain it in a way that non-medical personal could understand. It then goes on to talk about what you need to keep in mind as a nurse when giving these medications such as side effects, what patients labs should look like before giving the medicine or how the medicine can affect labs, administration instructions, etc. It then goes on to list the names of the medications. All this is then followed up by some practice questions.
The author does not add any extra non-sense to what is being explained in this book, unlike so of the other books I used in the past. I did not get a sense of information overload when reading. The questions that are asked in this book was more like the questions I encountered on the NCLEX exam. Other study guides will add extra stuff to the question because they want you to pick out the important information and come to a decision that way. This book is pretty much clear cut and to the point. It is a book I wish I had at the time I was studying for the test. I recommend this book to nursing students.

I have tried Rahda products in the past and have been satisfied with it. So i was given the chance to try this product in exchange for my review.
I wash my face twice a day. After washing it, it feels like my skin is going to crack because of how dry it can get. I am also carefull of what product I do put of my face because of how sensitive it is and how I do tend to break out with acne.
I would like to say I am happy with this moisturizer so far. I apply it right after I clean my face. Since using it, my face feels better. It no longer feels like my face will crack into a million pieces. Plus no new acne breakouts. I have also noticed that my skin feels softer and some of my pores have become less noticeable. The moisturizer does dry fairly quickly and does not leave a greasy feeling to my skin.

Natures Release Cellulite Hot Cream Treatment for Slimming, Supple and Toned

This cream claims to have many different uses (cellulite, reduce fatty areas, help with tired or sore muscles and for massage) and for better results, it says to use Saran wrap and wrap the area that the cream is applied to.
After a recent work out, I thought I would give this a try because I was hurting. I applied the cream to my upper legs to see if it would help with the soreness. Let me just start of by saying that it says it is a 20 minute therapy. Me being the idiot that I can be sometimes, left it on longer. When I went to wash it off, the water hurt my skin. Surprisingly it did not cause my skin to be red or have a burn appearance to it. So when it says 20 minute treatment, do not leave on any longer then recommended.
The cream has a peppermint with menthol scent to it (it did open my sinus passages up!). When I applied it, it went on cold and after a few minutes it did warm up, but then went back to being cold. The cream was quickly absorbed by my skin and did not leave a greasy feeling. I did find it worked for my sore muscles. I was able to walk better the next day, I did not try it for cellulite or tightening of the skin, so I am not sure what kind of results you can get from this for that.

These three bottle are a must when you travel. The bottles are made of a soft, silicon, BPA free material that makes them easy to grip when wet. They came with a clear, resealable pouch to carry them in. The bottle sizes seem to be within the limits allowed for carry on for air travel. The bottles come in three different colors (blue 3 fl oz, 2 fl oz clear and pink 1.25 fl oz) and different sizes. The lids of the bottles are the flip kind, so opening and closing them is easy. When you unscrew the lid to put products into them, the are secured with the base that the lid screws onto. This had made it easy for me to put my shampoos and lotions into the bottles. The bottles also have a suction on them so you can attach them to the shower wall. For those that travel a lot, these are a must.

This is a great, simple to use pulse ox.
The pulse ox came with a protective, silicon type, protective case. It also includes instructions and a carrying cord so you can wear it around your neck (a plus for medical personal).
As soon as I took this out of the box, I turned the device on (batteries included) and tried it out. I got my oxygen saturation and heart rate in a matter of a few seconds. It has an easy to read digital screen. I work in the medical field and I am definitely going to be using this at work. It will also come in handy at home for when my asthmatic child us sick.

I got the phone case with the blue material and leather bottom. The inside has a black, plastic type case that my phone easily fit into and it was a snug fit so my phone is not going to fall out of it. The case also has a cut out on the back for the camera, so you do not need to take your phone out of the case to take pictures. Before putting my phone into the case, the lid would shut and connect with the case inside like it had a magnet in it. Once my phone was in the case, the lid did not really want to shut all the way.
The case cover has an inside pocket that can hold a credit/debit card or drivers license. The case also doubles as a stand so you can prop your phone up.
Overall it's a nice case and I would recommend it to those that love cute/fancy cases. I personally like my phone to be well protected from falls and this phone is supposed to protect against drops and scratches, but I am not going to drop my phone to find out😊 I was slightly disappointed that the cover did not close well with my phone in it. I have tried Arvazzallia hair mask in the past and am very happy with the results I get when I use it. So when the chance came for me to try this product, I jumped all over it.
The kit comes with shampoo, conditioner and rejuvenating hair mask. The product contains argan oil and macadamia oil. Sulfate and paraben free. The products are supposed to help protect, extend and lock in color. Repair and strength hair from damage that coloring can cause it.
I color my hair and cannot stand when the color fades and my highlights start to look dingy. I started using this producy shortly after getting my hair done. It has kept the color vibrant and has not dulled my highlights. It has helped with the damage I do get when I color my hair and has helped with the ease of maintaing my hair when I style it. I have noiced my hair is softer and shiner. The mask it comes with just helps the results even more. After I use the products, my hair is not left feeling greasy or weighted down. The shampoo, conditioner and mask has a pleasent fragrence to it as well. I have found myself smelling my hair through the day because it smells that good!!
The three products do come in the box that is in the picture. the box in HUGE!!. So before I opened itt, I was not sure what size the bottle and jar would be. The shampoo and conditoner are between 10-11 fl. oz. and you get a regular size jar (8.45 fl.oz) of the hair mask, so I can see why the box was big. It also has a magnetic lid.

Recent family trip-Carnival Sunshine 2015

My family and I recently went on our third cruise. We were introduced to cruising three years ago and have loved it since. For us, you cannot get a trip that includes different countries, food and entertainment at the price you can go on a cruise for.
With that being said, our family has become partial to the Carnival Cruise line.  This year we went on the Carnival Sunshine. This boat was at one time the Carnival Destiny, but it has since been completely redone. I am hoping in blogs to come to share about our trip.

This year we went to St. Marteen, St. Kitts, San Juan and Grand Turk. Beautiful destinations without a doubt. We did an 8 day adventure with our kids and my in-laws; who by the way cruise all the dang time!!

On the day of departure, we left from Port Canaveral. While in the parking lot unloading our luggage, my feisty 8 year old daughter made a friend in the parking lot, whom she got to hang out with on the boat a few times. When we got into the terminal, we were directed to one on one check in. For those who have never cruised, checking in for a boat is almost similar to checking in for a flight. Only difference is showing a passport or birth certificate, oh and you don't have to strip nearly naked to go through the metal detectors:)

 After being checked in and cleared, it was onto the ship!!! After dropping off our carry ons to our rooms, it was time to go to the Lido deck and get some lunch. We had been in a car for 6 hours and we were STARVING!! The buffet offered many different food options, plus there was a pasta bar and hibachi grill. The dining area we sat in every morning had huge windows and fake trees. Very relaxing to sit. This first picture shows the weather we are leaving

After lunch it was off to explore our home for the next 8 days. This ship had so many things for people to do. There were water slides, sky walk, outdoor sports area, pools with a theater screen. And this was just on the outside of the ship.

After exploring it was off to the safety class. This is where everyone, and I mean EVERYONE on the ship has to gather at a designated area and learn what to do if the ship goes down. Look, you can tell everyone all day long that in an even of an emergence (aka we are going down) everyone needs to stay calm. That is not going to happen. But anyway, we could not take photos during this time because they wanted all electronics put away so they could have our undivided attention. I did take a picture of our designated meeting area in the event this should happen. Imagine this area with hundreds of people.

Once the safety class is over, its usually onto the main deck of the ship to have a sail away party, but it was pouring rain.

This pretty much sums up departure day of the trip.
