This dual car charger from spigen has been a godsend in our house. My kids bring their tablets with when we travel and there is always fighting over who gets to use the USB car charger. With this device, problem solved. They can both charge their tablets at the same time. 

The charger fit perfectly into the lighter outlets in my car. I love that when it is plugged in, it does not stick way out like other chargers I have do. Once the device is plugged in and it has power to it, the charger will light up with a blue light. The charger does have 2 slots for regular USB cords. The device does get a little warm when in use (not so hot that you cannot touch it), but I had that same problem with other devices. It does say that it has a built-in charging circuitry protector.
