Anonymous by Christine Benedict #thriller
The story is set back in the mid 1980's. Debra and her husband have just bought an old, run down, fixer upper farm house. Here Debra becomes friends with her neighbor Julie. Debra's background is told of how she grew up with an abusive, crazy mother through out the book. This is brought into play because while they are fixing up this farm house, she begins to hear strange sounds. Because she is the only one who hears them, she thinks she has inherited her mothers craziness. Juliet meanwhile has started to receive anonymous letters from a guy who likes her. Julie's husband finds the letters and becomes enraged and wants to find the guy. Meanwhile there is a psycho game warden who becomes involved with Debra's life due to all these cats being around her farm house. Debra, Juliet and the game warden are all brought together in this book with a twist involving the old farm house. A lot of the book seemed to focus on the anonymous gentleman who is sending Juliet the letters. While reading the book, I came to suspect that maybe Debra's husband could be the one writing them (won't go any further in case someone wants to read th book). At times while reading the book I felt the author sometimes got away from the story line, but in the end it all came together and made sense. I love mystery books and was not disappointed with this one. I received this item free or at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion. http://www.authorchristinebenedict.com/
